Rejected petition Homelessness

Change the way people view homelessness

More details

I am writing to request That you raise awareness or help to make a change for homelessness. It’s a very common and important issue because everywhere people go they come across rough sleepers. For example due to the cost of living crisis the most recent annual count showed 10,053 were spotted on the street of London. Now just imagine how many rough sleepers there are across the whole of the uk!

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about homelessness, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:

Do Not Push Forward with New Offences relating to Begging and Rough Sleeping: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/659230

The Government has also published a strategy setting out how it plans to end rough sleeping in England, which you can read here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/ending-rough-sleeping-for-good

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
