Why was this petition rejected?

We can't publish petitions when the request is something that's already happening or something that has been announced since you started your petition.

We think your petition is covered by Government or Parliament action already. If you'd like something else, you could start a new petition clearly explaining what it is.

The Government has already created a Private Parking Code of Practice that sets out the requirements that private parking operators must follow when enforcing parking restrictions. This is intended to operate alongside a single appeals service. The Private Parking Code of Practice has been temporarily withdrawn pending review of the levels of private parking charges and additional fees. You can find out more about the Government's plans here: https://www.gov.uk/government/calls-for-evidence/private-parking-code-of-practice-call-for-evidence

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
