Rejected petition We wish it to be made a criminal offence to lie during democratic elections etc.

The recent referendum campaign saw key leaders in both the remain and leave camps make unsubstantiated claims and, or tell blatant lies. In future this should be a criminal offence with offenders being banned from public office and or imprisoned.
