Closed Hold a public inquiry into why the UK issued new, lower alcohol guidelines

It appears that the Guidelines Development Group responsible for the new 2016 alcohol intake guidelines contained a large number of people from temperance groups. This suggests that science could have been manipulated to support an anti-alcohol agenda, rather than produce evidence-based guidelines.

The UK Government should set up a public inquiry to examine the research and how the new guidelines were produced.
