Eating disorders affect 1.25 million people in the UK and are the largest killer of any psychiatric illness. Eating Disorders can result in many years of morbidity and suffering. Individuals need treatment to help them recover.

In places such as Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme, Clinical Commissioning Groups have not funded dedicated adult eating disorder services.

The Government should provide dedicated funding to enable services to be established for adults who need support.
