This petition is to remove the right of local authorities to deploy CCTV vehicles to park contrary to the regulations they are there to enforce.
Local Authorities currently use the following:

Any exemption from parking restrictions has to be given in the relevant Traffic Regulation
Order (TRO) made by a local authority using enabling powers contained in the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984. These powers allow authorities wide flexibility in determining
the nature of parking restrictions, and any exemptions from them. CCTV enforcement vehicles should not form part of this exemption.
