The day will consist of participants wishing the queen a happy birthday through whatever digital process they like to use.\r\n\r\nThe rise of technology and the prominence of social networks have created the custom of wishing someone a happy birthday through digital means. Breakthroughs in technology happen through improving on the traditional way; by building a more efficient process.\r\n\r\nWhile we respect the tradition of celebrating the Queen’s birthday on a Saturday in June; the digital industry got where it is today by going against tradition; so it would be fitting for us to be allowed to celebrate on the date chosen, creating a digital tradition. We do not intend to take away from the public celebration but fuse it with the rapidly growing digital world.","committee_note":null,"state":"closed","signature_count":1,"created_at":"2012-07-05T22:07:23.000Z","updated_at":"2017-06-21T15:11:00.382Z","rejected_at":null,"opened_at":"2012-08-09T14:25:44.000Z","closed_at":"2013-08-09T14:25:44.000Z","moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2012-07-05T22:07:23.000Z","response_threshold_reached_at":null,"government_response_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"debate_scheduled_on":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"rejection":null,"government_response":null,"debate":null,"departments":[],"topics":[],"signatures_by_country":[],"signatures_by_constituency":[],"signatures_by_region":[],"other_parliamentary_business":[]}}}
