Rejected petition Exempt children from the ‘Rule of six’ count in England too.
Scotland and Wales have the same ‘Rule if six’ yet the children under the age of 12 and 11 respectively are exempt from the count. It only makes sense to have the same rule in England.
More details
Children are part of the same household as their parents, and should not be added to the count. Household is considered a unit when COVID-19 is identified and required to isolate as whole, so household should be counted as a unit in all other rules regarding minimising or risk of infection.
