Petition Should England and Wales have a single police force ?

I think it would be a good idea for England and Wales to have a single police force to save money and to be more effective and efficient.

One of my arguments is that before the 1st of April 2013 Scotland had 8 police forces but in total England and Wales has 43 police forces and the English government wants to save money.

And it would be more efficient and effective for the police and public.

And provided it would only need 1 force headquarters and 1 police authority to run it.
