Petition Move the May Day Bank Holiday to Armistice Day

There is a glut of Bank Holidays in the Spring, businesses suffer and the public have all their Bank Holidays close together.

Most people have no idea what the May Day bank holiday is for or what it is supposed to celebrate or represent whereas most understand the reasons for Armistice Day, it is an opportunity for us to remember all those who died to keep us free.

I call on the Government to reconsider the benefits of May Day and to consider whether Armistice Day is a more appropriate day to allow the country to celebrate feedom and remember those that died in its cause.
