Most people don’t realize but more then 50% of the reason you have lights on your car is not for you to see, it’s others to see you. When it’s raining and add the road mist is factored in people in other vehicles often can’t see you. This is particularly the case on motorways and A roads.

This petition therefore calls for the following simple law to be passed in the UK:

"If you switch your wipers on (even to intermittent) then you must also switch on your dipped headlights."

This simple measure can reduce road casualties and improve road safety.
