Any new road to be built in the UK should have to have safe cycle paths installed.

This will benefit cyclists and motorists.

Where possible they are to be seperated from the main road and not be part of bus lanes or parking bays.

Kerbed seperation or bollard and kept with the flow of traffic. (Not a cycle path on a foot path or a afterthough line).

Junctions also need to be timed to allow cycles through with enough time to cross safely.
