Petition Alcohol Buying License

More details

We propose that the government create a system where every person wishing to buy alcohol must be in possession of a valid license.

Permanent licenses to be purchased for ~£100 each.

Persons with licenses would be issued with an RFID or magnetic readable Photo ID card for proof of license.

Cards would be provided free of charge to persons over the age of 60.

The cards' validity would be readable by machines at the point of purchase.

The government would not, under any circumstances, use the ID cards to track purchasing habits.

Temporary 3 week cards would be issued to visiting tourists on request.

Persons would have their license suspended or banned for:

Drink Driving.
Drunk and disorderly behaviour.
Domestic violence.
Requiring medical attention for reasons related to alcohol.
Any criminal offence.

Friends or relatives would also have their licenses suspended on discretion of authorities.
