Multinational companies suspected of evading tax to be taxed for 12 or 24 months at a rate of 10% of their UK turnover until they satisfy HMRC that they will be paying realistic levels of taxation in future. Big companies would hate HMRC having this power and would be far keener to pay a fairer level of taxation.
