Petition Open the British Business Bank to SMEs

This e-petition is for people who generally support the idea behind the British Business Bank but would prefer to see it open up to cooperate with financial SMEs in order to help other SMEs with access to finance.

Currently the BBB has an eligibility criteria that means it is limited to working with only the largest financial firms in the new peer-to-peer lending sector. This creates a major disadvantage to the smaller operators in the p2p industry.

Including a range of p2p platforms would spread the risk of taxpayers money, encourage innovation and create employment.

We would like to see the BBB embrace the many small platforms commensurately to the large platforms.
