Emergency services face a rise in callouts for fires & injuries; many involving children. Loud, fireworks can reach noise levels over 150 decibels, similar to a jet engine and release harmful chemicals into the air. By limiting fireworks we can still enjoy traditional celebrations while protecting animals, vulnerable people & our communities from unnecessary harm.","committee_note":null,"state":"rejected","signature_count":21,"created_at":"2025-11-05T19:27:52.074Z","updated_at":"2025-12-05T10:28:35.501Z","rejected_at":"2025-12-05T10:28:27.979Z","opened_at":null,"closed_at":null,"moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2025-11-05T19:49:30.000Z","response_threshold_reached_at":null,"government_response_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"creator_name":null,"rejection":{"code":"duplicate","details":"You may wish to sign the following petition, which calls for similar action:\r\n\r\nLimit the sale of fireworks to those running local council approved events only\r\nhttps://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/732559"},"government_response":null,"debate":null,"departments":[],"topics":[]}},{"type":"petition","id":748188,"links":{"self":"https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/748188.json"},"attributes":{"action":"Ban home firework displays! The impact on farm animals wildlife and domestic animals is tragic. Neighbours let off fireworks behind my stables. No notification has to be given in these instances and there is nothing I can do to stop it.
