Rejected petition Make it the law to report a road traffic accident involving a cat
A statement from the government states you are to report a select few animals involved in a road traffic accident to the police. This list should include cats as cats are just as valuable as any other animal. As a nation of animal lover we need to act now to make this the law for cats too.

"Report a dead or injured animal
What you need to do depends on the type of animal, and whether you were involved in an accident with it.
Report a car accident with an animal
You must stop and report the accident to the police if you hit any:
dogs
horses
cattle, eg cows
pigs
goats
sheep
donkeys and mules
You must do this as quickly as you can, whether the animal is killed or not."
