This petition was submitted during the 2015–2017 Conservative government

Rejected petition Make members of parliament votes public for the European Union Referendum.

To prevent politicians deceiving the UK population by campaigning one way but voting another.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

At the moment, this would be a personal decision for individual MPs.

If you would like Parliament to change the law, to require the votes of MPs to be published, you could start a new petition asking for that. It is worth noting that there is now very little time left for the law to be changed before the referendum on 23 June.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
