Rejected petition EU exit causing the dissolution of the UK requires a second referendum

The break-up of the UK resulting from the EU vote was not an explicit part of the EU referendum. Independence from the UK for Scotland and a united Ireland would cause the dissolution of the United Kingdom. This outcome should be put in a ballot to the entire UK not just devolved nations.

More details

The outcome of the referendum vote has led to calls from senior politicians for a further referendum on independence from the UK for Scotland and calls for a united Ireland which together would cause the dissolution of the United Kingdom. Changes to the UK as a consequence of the EU vote was not explicitly put to the UK population. Such fundamental change requires linkage of these issues in a ballot for the entire population of the UK, not just the people of devolved nations such as Scotland.
