One of the benefits of being a British citizen is the right to vote, and to know that your vote has the power to influence laws, policies, taxes and more.

It should be the duty of the government to British democracy to ensure and check that voters understand what they are voting on/about.

One example: an increase in the Google search term "What is the EU?" within the UK, the day after these searchers potentially voted on it.
