Rejected petition I would like Whirlpool to change the word Modification to Fault on tumble dryers

Whirlpool who owns Hotpoint/Indesit have identified a problem with certain models of tumble dryers that are at risk of going on fire, they are stating a modification is required to put this right, i would like them to admit this as a fault so that we the consumers have more rights with retailers

More details

Modification programme is not the best approach and we should all have rights to a free of charge replacement or a refund from the retailers who we purchased them from under the sale of goods act, this clearly is a fault and because Whirlpool is not admitting this, it makes it more difficult for the consumer to approach the retailers under this modification programme, we should all have the rights to a refund or exchange programme
