Rejected petition MPs with interests in private health should not vote on Bills impacting NHS

Allowing MPs to vote on Bills where there is a potential conflict of interest between their responsibilities representing their constituency and their own financial gain, diminishes the credibility of the House of Commons. Specifically, I am tired of MPs voting with their wallet in relation to NHS.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The House of Commons has a Code of Conduct for MPs. MPs are already required to register and declare financial interests, and to avoid conflicts of interest, so we're not sure exactly what further action you'd like to see.

You can find the Code of Conduct for the House of Commons here:

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
