The present politicians cannot or will not accept the result of the referendum to leave the EU. So a general election would give the people the power to re-elect or reject all politicians in power now.

We have the speaker in parliament who seems to be biased against leaving the EU and politicians who are going against the democratic vote of the people to leave the EU..
