Rejected petition Lower the the age to vote and run in a local council election down to 16.

I feel that people my age should have a more active role in our local community helping run and maintain their local areas as people my age may not fully understand what is best for our country but they certainly know what is best for our local communities.

More details

I am not suggesting that we allow 16 year old teens to vote in a General Election but I just want to run for councillor in my local area so I can try and make it a better place for the people who live there, I am proud of the Parish I live in and I would love to be the one who represents all who live inside it and campaign on behalf of them on issues that are important to all who reside in my local area.
