The estimates for HS2 vary from £107000000000 to £170000000000 (107 to 170 billion). This gross amount of money is to be spent just to get people to London 20 minutes quicker and has very questionable business benefits.

Cancel HS2 and use some or a that money to build flood barriers, flood plains/drainage and properly fund the NHS so it can cope with pandemics as well as the everyday work it does
