Rejected petition National recognition and pay increases to reflect the work of front line workers

For the UK Government to recognise front line workers continued personal sacrifices during the Corona Virus pandemic. Despite the dangers and significantly increased risks posed. The US government have recognised their key workers by increasing their wages.

More details

Whilst the Government have used the War chest funds to help pay towards the millions of people out of work due to this pandemic. Those, key workers remaining in work, are not receiving any benefits (including PPE) in continuing their commitment to the UK. This fund will eventually have to be paid back, which no doubt will include taxation increases. Front line key workers, especially the Blue light services, have to often fight for wage rises. This is simply not fair considering current climate.
