Rejected petition If university is online for the year 2020-2021, fees should reduced.

Reduce university fees for the year 2020-2021.

More details

University fees are currently £9,250. If students are unable to physically attend university as courses would be online, then this fee should be lowered. This would make sense as the 'whole package' so to speak isn't being received by the students and therefore this cost is deemed as being unfair for students to pay.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

The fees universities charge are a matter for individual universities, and not the Government or House of Commons.

If your university course is affected by coronavirus in the next academic year, you could start a petition calling on the Government to reimburse all or part of your tuition fees.
