Rejected petition Close British borders until Coronavirus is under control.
The current border controls are not strong enough to control new Coronavirus variants which threaten to undermine our vaccine programme.
Now is the time to urgently close our borders excluding transit of
essential supplies such as medicines/food etc.

Now is the time for Government to look again at the SAGE advice given in regards to border control and the effects that it can have on stopping new coronavirus variants from spreading in this country.
It is common knowledge that new variants of coronavirus could cause serious problems for the vaccination programme currently underway in our country.
If the Government does not now tighten measures on our borders we will be in lockdown for longer.
