Rejected petition Keep schools closed until after Easter holidays.

Keep secondary schools in England closed for an extra 3 weeks until after Easter holidays.

More details

The Government have advised secondary schools in England will reopen to all students 8th March 2021, with this being reviewed during the Easter Holidays. With this full reopening, students will be back in school for 3 weeks, enough time for cases and hospitalisations to rise again, potentially triggering a fourth lockdown. Whereas if schools remained shut, that allows an extra 7 weeks (only missing 3 weeks of in school education) for more of the population to be vaccinated.
