Provide extended maternity leave and pay for the parents of babies born on or before 31/12/2020 and therefore unable to experience a satisfactory maternity leave.

I believe parents of babies born on or before 31/12/2020 should be entitled to extended maternity leave and pay as they were expecting before or during the early stages of the first national lockdown. Therefore spent maternity leave unable to socialise, receive support and experience the maternity leave they had planned when they discovered they were expecting. Parents should be able to experience maternity leave out of lockdown restrictions.
