Rejected petition Referendum on net migration

The UK, especially England, is highly densely populated. Our housing & infrastructure is already severely overburdened. Net migration is currently around 320k/year = 130k new homes/year needed = more greenbelt destruction & more main roads unable to cope

More details

Major reason for vote to leave EU was reduction in migration as the public very concerned by adverse impact of ever increasing overpopulation.
But gov't haven't taken heed & are not reducing net migration.
I want gov't to give public opportunity in a binding referendum to express wish for reduction net migration to nil.
In addition migrants must have no criminal history & must be offered jobs here on min £30k salary & not take jobs British people can do. And no entitlement to NHS or benefits

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

The value of any salary earned by a migrant is a matter for them and their employer, not the UK Government or Parliament.

In any case, it's not clear what criteria would need to be met in order for any particular job to be categorised as one that 'British people can do'.
