We think this is unfair and unnecessary. Renewal should be every 10 years, like it is for most other people.","additional_details":"We think the three-year restriction serves no purpose. If a type 1 diabetic experienced any deterioration in their ability to drive due to mismanagement of their condition, they would need to report it to the DVLA regardless. We think well-managed type 1 diabetes does not affect the ability to drive.
