Voters should be able to opt in or opt out of allowing political parties to access their data from the full electoral register. ","additional_details":"Many voters are unaware that political parties can obtain their name & address from the full electoral register & use it for campaigning. Opting out of the open register does not prevent this. Voters should have greater control over how their personal data is used. Allowing an opt-out or requiring consent would protect privacy while still letting people who want political contact to receive it.
