There is apparantly a shortage of nurses yet there are no band 5 roles for newly qualifieds. Yet the same trusts still rely on agency and bank staff.  Something we cannot do without 6 months experience. The government lie and boast about a graduate guarantee scheme - if trusts are not hiring how can they guatentee a role? 200 plus newly qualifieds will now be signing on to receive benefits in August 2026.
