He first reported symptoms to the GP at the age of 66 ,but was not investigated until he was 68 ,he was then diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer by which time the disease had spread to his spine. Watching a loved one face advanced cancer has shown me the devastating impact prostate cancer has not only on patients but on entire families.
