We believe it’s short-sighted and contradicts UK investment in EV manufacturing and Net Zero goals by suppressing consumer demand. \r\n \r\nEV owners already pay VAT on electricity (20% at public chargers, 5% at home) and PHEV owners also pay tax on petrol too. We feel this tax is double taxation and unfairly penalises drivers.
