When crossings like Hammersmith Bridge, or Albert Bridge are permanently closed, the traffic flow becomes appreciably slower as they reroute to the nearest alternative crossing.  Usually it is for the local authorities and TfL to resolve these challenges.  But after nearly eight years there is no agreement.
