Just over a third of the care leavers were thought to have died by suicide.\r\n \r\nWe want the Government to fund a national care leaver mental health and suicide-prevention programme, informed by the 2026 review and care leaver death rates. This should provide local support groups, a dedicated mental health worker alongside each care leaver’s PA, and access to specialist support. Care leavers need a clear, funded pathway to help.
