We believe this would immediately remove any conflict of interest & ensure that councillors' time is devoted to just one ward - an exception being to also sit as a Borough Councillor for the same ward.","additional_details":"There are a number of local councillors who sit on more than one local council. We believe this, by definition, must produce a conflict of interest and, as such, cannot result in a councillor who is 100% committed to a specific council. It could also be viewed by some as a political power grab resulting in a councillor who has to decide how much time and effort they allocate to one specific council over another.
