Companies should be able to use natural resources, but must pay a fair, transparent and measurable charge when extracting resources or causing environmental damage. The revenue should be independently accounted for and returned for the benefit of everyone through a Natural Wealth Dividend. The Government should investigate how this could be implemented in the UK and promoted internationally.","committee_note":null,"state":"rejected","signature_count":6,"created_at":"2026-09-14T13:47:05.381Z","updated_at":"2026-10-23T09:31:00.334Z","rejected_at":"2026-10-23T09:30:59.164Z","opened_at":null,"closed_at":null,"moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2026-10-05T10:01:20.000Z","response_threshold_reached_at":null,"government_response_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"debate_scheduled_on":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"creator_name":null,"rejection":{"code":"no-action","details":""},"government_response":null,"debate":null,"departments":[],"topics":[]}}}
