Women who have never had a child themselves should not be denied treatment simply because their partner is already a parent.\r\nNHS-funded IVF provision varies across England. Some ICBs restrict access where a patient’s partner has a child from a previous relationship, while the number and type of funded cycles differ between areas. This can mean fertility treatment access can depend on where someone lives or their partner’s history, rather than individual clinical need. We believe everyone who meets the relevant clinical criteria should have fair and consistent access to NHS-funded fertility
