There are also an existing train line that runs through Wantage and Grove that could be used for the new train station. There are many other people who have come to me about having a train station that is in Wantage/Grove, and I believe that it would be beneficial if there was a train station or a new train line, that connects it to others, in this area.","committee_note":null,"state":"rejected","signature_count":8,"created_at":"2026-10-11T14:00:59.979Z","updated_at":"2026-10-26T15:38:29.040Z","rejected_at":"2026-10-26T15:38:24.546Z","opened_at":null,"closed_at":null,"moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2026-10-11T16:36:50.000Z","response_threshold_reached_at":null,"government_response_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"debate_scheduled_on":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"creator_name":null,"rejection":{"code":"local","details":"We can’t accept petitions that call for action at a local level.\r\n\r\nYou could ask your MP to take action on your concerns about this issue, including by asking them to present a public (paper) petition about this.\r\n\r\nYou can find contact details for your local MP here: https://members.parliament.uk/FindYourMP\r\n\r\nAnd you can find out how to ask your MP to present a public (paper) petition here: https://www.parliament.uk/get-involved/sign-a-petition/paper-petitions/\r\n\r\nYou could also raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you.
