Recent polls have shown a 26% increase of prosecution of Speeding Motorists. This is not due to motorists behaving different but the way speed cameras are operated, Smart Camera's on our Motorways do not allow or take into any consideration anything above the displayed variable Limit.

The breaking of any speed limit is an offence – temporary speed limits, such as motorway Variable Speed Limits, are just as legally enforceable as permanent ones but the ever increasing installations and over use is causing experienced, safe and law abiding motorists to fall foul of the law and blemish clean licenses, The Insurance industry has always rewarded good driving with discounts for no claims, the current 10 starting points on a licence should be increased annually.
