Introduced in 2004, the Hunting Act has been one of the most effective wildlife protection legislations.
David Cameron announced in 2015 he would bring it to parliament for a free vote.
We call on the Government to abandon their plans and scrap any attempts to repeal the Hunting Act

In a recent MORI poll 65% supported a ban, with support being even higher among Labour supporters at 73% (The Economist, June '01).
The Ministry of Justice figures demonstrate that the Hunting Act out-performs all other wild mammal legislation in England and Wales, having both the highest number of convictions since it was introduced (341 from 2005 to 2013) and conviction rate (65% of charges laid under the Act have resulted in convictions
