Closed petition Every employee regardless of age will get their birthday off as fully paid leave

I propose that every employee is granted an additional fully paid day of leave on their birthday every year instead of bringing in a proposed extra bank holiday to bring us in line with Scotland andEurope.

If the date in question falls on a pre existing bank holiday, weekend or pre determined non work day the employee has the right to choose either the nearest pre or post working day closest to the date in question.
This will allow businesses to continue with minimal impact to production/services which a national bank holiday would cause.
This will also help to achieve a better work/life ratio and generally raise moral of the country.
