It has become increasingly clear that the positions Alan Yentob holds with the BBC have now become untenable, his admitted attempts to delay transmission of a segment of Newsnight dealing with the Kids Company charity of which he was Chairman are testament to a clear conflict of interest.

The Conservative MP Andrew Bridgen stated the following regarding Mr Yentobs attempted interference.

"The allegation is a “conflict of interest” that did not “reflect well on him”.
