Petition Lobby the EU to overturn Council Directive 2001/51/EC and stop refugee deaths

The Directive enables airlines to reject refugees, even those with a valid asylum claim, to avoid repatriation costs. Thousands are dying on overcrowded boats as a result, falling prey to traffickers. Claims should be heard by qualified immigration staff and not rejected based on airline profits.
