Teeth whitening by a person who is not dentally qualified is illegal. Companies target non qualified individuals at Professional Beauty Shows and online misleading them into believing that they can legally perform teeth whitening.

The case General Dental Council v Jamous (2013) EHWC 1428.
High court holds that teeth whitening comes within the meaning of the practice of dentistry as identified in section 37 of the Dentists Act 1984. Before District Judge Roscoe at Westminster Magistrates Court.

Also any system that claims to be 'Self Administered' as was my case Caroline Sumpter v Dentawhite before Justice Crudge at Bromley County Court in October 2014. Which I won.
