Petition Using mobile phones while driving should carry the same penalty as drunk driving

It is recognised that using hand-held phones or similar devices while driving is as dangerous or even more dangerous than driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.

It is time that the law reflected the severity of the offence correctly. It is not a 3 point £100 fine driving offence.
