Petition Create a secure, single, online portal for Child Protection agencies in UK

I am currently involved in supporting children's well-being and rights within a junior school. My role involves participating in high-level child protection meetings. I have noticed that there are huge gaps in the secure transfer of information between agencies, the receiving of which is vital.

Lack of time for creating reports, and sharing them prior to meetings, results in professionals being improperly briefed (child protection conferences, core groups, etc.). Key absentees often fail to pass on their findings and recommendations too.

Children's Services and other professionals can improve their communication if they have a secure online portal to forward reports and recommendations (as is available in Leicester). Being electronic, it is instant; saving time and money.
